The 53-year-old, who was born in Freetown in Sierra Leone and lived in Springfield, was a beloved husband and father as well as a "respected computer/network administrator," a GoFundMe reads.
Unfortunately, Momoh's life was suddenly cut short on Sunday, June 18, "leaving behind a void that will be felt by all who knew him," the campaign continues.
Momoh obtained a bachelor's degree in computer science from Westfield State University and went on to work at Granville Tolland Regional School in Southwick, according to his obituary. It was there that the devoted technician "transformed computer/network administration."
"He ceaselessly maintained sophisticated computer systems, ensuring the vitality of the Southwick School District," the GoFundMe reads. "His technological expertise and dedication to perfection touched many people who relied on his networks."
Momoh also had a strong connection to his family, including his wife Nora and three children Sonnia, Tanya, and Aniya. The "very protective father" was "always there for his family, whether it was at school functions, sports activities, or life's trials."
"He always wanted the best for his children and ensured and instilled education in them," Momoh's obituary reads. "His proudest and most joyous moments were with his three beautiful children."
In addition to his immediate family, Momoh is survived by his sisters Karietta, Yealie, and Sarah, according to his obituary. He is also survived by his stepmother Sao Kamara, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins.
